You pick the program. It does the maths.

Run 5/3/1 or GZCLP and you know the drill. You work out the percentages. You track your training max. You figure out what to do on the day you miss a rep. Most apps just hand you an empty log and leave all of that to you. This one does the sums and shows you how it got there.

The part other apps get wrong

Adding weight is easy. The maths that matters is when you stall.

This is a real GZCLP squat that stopped progressing. Here's what the app did about it. This is the bit you'd otherwise be working out yourself in a spreadsheet.

GZCLP T1 squat missed at 85 kg, so the app kept the weight and dropped from five sets of three to six sets of two.
You miss a sessionIt doesn't cut the weight. Missed your reps at 85 kg? GZCLP keeps the bar loaded and drops the scheme instead. Five sets of three becomes six sets of two. The app makes that call for you.
The GZCLP cycle-restart sheet: the app estimates a fresh five-rep max and suggests restarting at 85 percent of it.
You run out of stagesIt works out where you start again. The cycle ends, and the app estimates your new max and suggests 85% of it. You just confirm the number.

Adding weight when you hit your reps is the easy part.

Any app can do that. What matters is the day you miss. GZCLP doesn't cut the weight when that happens: the bar stays loaded and the rep scheme drops instead, five sets of three to six sets of two to ten singles. Miss the last stage and the cycle restarts from a fresh 5-rep max. Every program carries its own failure rules like these, and we run all of them on the real engine, not only the weeks where everything goes to plan.

The catalogue

50 programs run the way their authors intended.

A template is a list of exercises. A program tells you what to lift next week based on what you lifted this week. These are the second kind. The rep schemes, the percentages, the progression, the deloads: all of it comes across the way the author wrote it.

Nine to start with

None of them quite you? Build your own. Set the lifts, the sets and reps, the weeks, and the same progression engine runs it session to session.

Progression rules
Durata week planner showing GZCLP's four sessions — T1 Squat on Monday, T1 OHP on Tuesday, T1 Bench on Thursday and T1 Deadlift on Friday — each with that session's working weight.
Every session shows its top working set before you get there. Nothing to work out on the way to the gym.
The planner

Move a session to a day you can actually train.

Programs get written around somebody else's week. Drag a session onto another day and the weights and the progression go with it.

  • Most people start on a Monday. Pick a start date when you begin and the first session lands where you want it.
  • Missed a day? Move it. The program carries on, it doesn't reset.
  • Two sessions in one day? If that's how your week works, stack them or swap one for another.
The logger

No program? It's still the fastest way to log a set.

The programs are the reason we're different. They're not the only reason to switch. Underneath every one of them is a full workout logger that does everything you already expect, and a few things you've been living without.

Where we're up to

It's a beta, and we'll be straight about it.

How progression works
50 9 founder spots left

Come and tell us what's wrong with it.

  • The first 50 keep Pro free, for good. Not for the beta. For good.
  • You're talking to the person who builds it, not a support queue.
  • Bugs get fixed fast, often same day. Shipped the day after.
  • Say what you want built next. The roadmap isn't fixed yet.
